Comfort

There are few places
I go like this.
Integration
Of man and nature.

A squirrel says hello.
Chats about the weather
Then climbs up to his home
And says to stop by for tea.

A bird sits on the seat
says hello
In his sweet voice
Then flies high.

A turtle crawling along
Looks up, nods, and
Continues his trek
Back to the river.

A rabbit, young and frail
Curious as all children
Hops by, says hi
I am off to see the world.

In the heart of cement and steel
Nature has found a home.
Animals are comfortable here
And so am I.
