Ideal

It has been one month now
since you took my child.
Ripped her from my sight
while she cried for Dada

The tears showed in
My eyes and Hers
Yet your eyes were dry
When you left.

You don't realize the impact
I have suffered.
Or the reaction
of My daughter.

You don't put her to sleep
You don't wake her up
You don't comfort her
You don't dry her face.

You are not her mother
You don't cry at night
Only I cry
Because I love her.

And you only love the ideal.
